Mini album to my grandmother

My dear grandmother turns 90 years old tomorrow! I made her a paper bag mini album with photos of me and my family, and a greeting thanking her for all the great childhood memories she's given me. Sadly I don't get to meet her very often since she lives far from here, but we'll visit her in a couple of weeks and celebrate her then, and take lots of 5 generations pics! <3

Tonight I played with mists and stamps on a canvas. You should see my fingers now! LOL! Well I won't show you my fingers, but the finished canvas:

Spring is in the air!

At least that's what I'm telling myself... We've had lovely spring days and today the snow is falling from a grey sky... *sigh* Well, April is known for it's changing weaather. Soon enough we'll be on the beach. =)

This is a layout about me at 43. I used TCW stencils, I'm totally in love with those, some stamps and a dymo for the journaling.

The journaling might seem a bit depressing at first but it's a description of here and now. In the middle of tired, need vacation, chores, looking for a job, I am really grateful. I have my husband, my darling children, roof over my head, food and clothes. I'm blessed! 

Guest DT for Pysseldags #3

This is my 3rd project for Pysseldags. I just love that sentiment stamp saying "för långt borta för en kram"! It means "too far away for a hug". I'll use that one a lot. You could never have or give away too many hugs! =)

Scrapping Everyday Miracles Challenge #15

April's challenge at Scrapping Everyday Miracles is: 

"This month's challenge is asking you to create a project that focuses on the people in your life that brighten your day with their silly side.  More specifically, the funny things they say." 

My DD Maia says the funnist things EVERY day! I try to remember to write it down, and I'm going to scrap a mini album with it all. But here's my take on SEM's challenge:

Let me translate the journaling for you:

* Junie pulls Maia's dress. Maia: "Junie! It's my dress! Mom bought it several times!"

* Maia: "I'm sweet. Junie is sweet. Petra and Felicia are sweet. Even you mom!

* I had just got home from the store. Maia: "Mom, I'm so proud of you!" Me: "Thanks! Why are you proud of me?" Maia: "You came home!" Maybe she's realized her mom is more than enough scatter-brained... ;-)

* Maia is dipping spagetti in a glass of lemonade: "I'm working on a recipe!"

* Maia tried to put butter on her sandwich, but didn't do so well, so she asked me to do it. When I was done she said: "Mom, you're a hero!" 

LOL! She's so stinkin' cute! =)

April kit from the Nook.

This month's kit from the Nook containd the Storyteller line from Crate paper. It's fun and so versatile! Here's a lyout with my DD Maia. The title in english is: "You spread joy". TFL!

Played with color!

I had so much fun making this one! I used acrylic paint, Distress Ink, a TCW stencil and dug out some of my old foam stamps! Yay! =)

Another onelayer layout.

DD Maia really enjoyed this ride last summer! =) Another one layer layout, using TCW stencils and stamps. The alphas are colored with promarkers.

I just had to scrap this pic our daughter Camilla took one Sunday when she arrived to church. Looks like we live i Sibiria! LOL

One layer layout.

Have you tried a one layer layout? It's really fun! Use just one background paper, photo/photos and the only decos allowed are color, ink, doodling, stamping etc. Here's my first try:

Mojo visit

Last weekend I went to a 2 day crop and had a fantastic time! So much fun and so much mojo! I haven't had this much done in a crop ever. And yesterday I made 3 layouts in a couple of hours. I guess I brought the mojo home with me. =) So I'll show you a bunch of pages, but I split them up to one a day. My blog could definitely use som regular updates. =)

Book card

Today I said goodbye to two dear friends who are moving south. An elderly couple, always serving God faithfully, in both small and big things, spreading joy, doing chores in church, and praying lots and lots. It's such an honour to have gotten to know them and such a comfort to know that you're on their very long prayer list. <3

I decided to change page size. 12x12" albums are way too expensive. If I scrap A4/lettersize I can use regular office binders and those are a lot cheaper.

I got the awsome March kit from the Nook the other day and I here's the first page using it:

The lighting isn't great under the kitchen lamp, but it'll due. =) Our lovely daughter Ida in the photo. She turns 25 this summer. Time flies!

Photo swap fun!

At the Nook there is a photo swap going on. I'm swapping with the very sweet and super talented Marinette from France. So I emailed her some of my photos and I got hers, and now were scrapping eachother's photos. So much fun! Here's my layout for her:

Duh!

I was looking for a sketch blog I remembered had multi photo challenges. I'd just found the Get Picky sketch blog again and decided to join their February challenge. But I wanted to join more sketch challenges and sort of remembered one in the back of my head, just couldn't remember the name. Well....duh! The one I was looking for WAS actually Get Picky... *roll eyes* It sort of hit me when I was putting the finishing touches to my layout tonight, using the sketch for Get Picky's february challenge, and I'd just turned it into a ONE photo layout... *roll eyes and big sigh* I was so eager to play with my February Nook kit and thought: "What the heck why not join a challenge while I'm at it." And I was in such a hurry I didn't read the rules... So I disqualified myself. =/ Well, well. I'm pretty pleased with my page so... I'll join Get Picky's challenge next month instead. =) TFL!
